Made
Modular construction presented at the standard of the buildings.
The Brief
Made Modular Pty Ltd builds modular homes for special-use accommodation out of Strathfield, NSW: SDA villas, group homes, co-living and dual occupancies. Co-founders George Mourad and Rami Shakour run the method they call Hybrid Volumetric Modular, and the buildings were already finished to a standard worth showing. The presentation was the gap. Completed projects sat in folders rather than in a library anyone could work from, so the same job got described differently depending on who happened to be writing that week. No single set of brand rules existed for a supplier or a printer to follow, which meant the mark and the palette drifted a little further with each new piece. The category carried an assumption the buildings contradicted, with modular read as a cost decision rather than as a way of constructing. Nothing about the work needed changing. What it needed was a record it could publish from.

How It Runs
We rebuilt the project library before touching a single design file. Every completed build came back into one record with its own photographs, its scope and its location, so a caption and a tender page would describe the same job in the same terms. That order mattered more than it sounds. Once the library was straight, every asset produced afterwards could be traced to a real project instead of being assembled from whatever imagery sat nearest to hand, and writing about a build turned into a lookup rather than an act of memory.
With the record in place we photographed the portfolio at golden hour and filmed the projects, working from finished buildings rather than renders of them. Golden hour was a decision about honesty as much as flattery. It gives brick, cladding and glazing their real colour and depth, and a house shot in flat midday light starts to read as a product photo instead of a place someone lives. The brick palette rule went in as a hard constraint at the same moment: light brick or dark brick, never red or brown, on every image and every printed page.
The website argues the category rather than the company. The hero reads MADE to last, then Accelerated delivery without compromise, and everything beneath it exists to make that second line survive scrutiny, because a speed claim left on its own invites the reader to assume something was traded away for it. So the pages present Hybrid Volumetric Modular as a construction method with the evidence attached. Search and AI search infrastructure sits underneath, which matters when the question a buyer or a planner actually types is about the method rather than the business.
The brand system went online as a public atlas at mademodular.com.au/brand instead of a PDF living inside an email thread. A supplier quoting signage and a printer running the capability statement work from the same page, at the same version, without asking anyone for the file. It also holds the rules that tend to get broken quietly, the brick palette among them. Publishing it puts the standard where the work happens, and the atlas ends up being its own evidence that the company operates with that level of order.
Social content runs across seven platforms off the same library, and the capability statement and tender materials draw from it too, so a project photographed once carries into a feed post, a submission and a website page without being re-described each time. The tender voice and the social voice are one voice here. A procurement officer opening a submission and someone scrolling at eleven at night meet the same method and the same buildings, described in the same terms.
Where It Landed
- There is one project library behind everything Made publishes now, so a build photographed once turns up in the atlas, on the website, inside a tender and in a feed post carrying the same scope and the same photographs.
- The brand exists in public at mademodular.com.au/brand, which means suppliers and printers work from live rules rather than a forwarded file, and the brick palette holds its line across print and screen.
- The website makes the case for the method itself, with photography and films attached to real projects, so a reader meets Hybrid Volumetric Modular as construction rather than as a label on a category.
- Made now presents at the standard of what it builds, and the material a procurement team opens comes out of the same record as the post someone sees late at night.
